UX Concerns Lunar Raised

Plentiful provided Lunar with its current platform design and interface for a professional analysis prior to launch. A thorough review by Lunar, of the platform’s design and functionality revealed several UX challenges that could potentially impede user interaction and detract from the overall user experience. These issues were crucial to address to ensure a smooth and engaging platform for users seeking wellness services.

Website Navigation Was Too Complicated

Initial testing prior to launch found the top-level navigation far too complicated and was not intuitive even for those used to working on a laptop or tablet device. When trying to locate specific wellness experiences, the platform became difficult to use and users would likely bounce off.

Inconsistent Design Elements

Lunar identified inconsistencies in the UI design across different pages, including variable font sizes, button styles, and colour schemes. Such inconsistencies can disrupt the user experience and diminish brand credibility. At this point, Lunar provided the client with a new intuitive design concept.

Poor Mobile Responsiveness

With a significant portion of users expected to access the platform via mobile devices, the initial design did not fully support mobile responsiveness. Elements were often misaligned or scaled improperly on smaller screens, compromising functionality and aesthetics.

Lengthy Booking Process

The process required to book sessions was overly complicated, involving multiple unnecessary steps that could deter users from completing a booking. Simplifying this process was essential to enhance user satisfaction and increase conversion rates.

Positioning Plentiful & Organic Visibility

  • Weekly Strategic Consultations: Key to our strategy were the weekly sessions with Plentiful’s team, where we aligned on the platform’s objectives, discussed content strategies, and planned for the SEO-rich launch. These consultations ensured that every step taken was measured and contributed to the overarching goal of a successful platform launch.
  • Revamping Practitioner Profiles: Each practitioner’s profile underwent a meticulous rewriting process. Our aim was to not just present factual information but to tell a compelling story that reflects each practitioner’s philosophy and unique approach. This involved crafting engaging narratives that are both informative and optimised for search engines—making them more likely to attract and retain potential clients’ interest.
Enhanced SEO Tactics: We tailored the SEO strategy to encompass not only the main website pages but also each practitioner’s profile. This included optimising page titles and meta descriptions to ensure they are compelling and include relevant keywords. Our goal was to improve organic search visibility, making it easier for potential clients to find Plentiful and its practitioners through popular search engines.

 

Content Optimisation

  • Lunar was given the task of managing the external content marketing team which consisted of freelance copywriters. Lunar provided SEO strategy, detailed content briefs with keywords to include for maximum online visibility within the organic search results. 
  • Lunar, acting as editor for Plentiful, kept the quality of content to an all time high, making sure to proofread and optimize each blog post depending on user search intent, internal linking structure and keyword/search term goal. 
  • The content once edited by Lunar would have the best chance possible of generating leads. Those landing on the blog posts would be far more likely to convert, as keywords were based on user-intent and targeting people looking to book the online experiences rather than conduct top-level research around the subject matter.
